Congo is a Brazilian musical genre, typical of the coastal regions of Espírito Santo.1 2
The main instruments are the congo drum, bass drum or snare drum, casaca or reco-reco, cuíca, rattle, triangle and whistle (used by the master at the beginning and end of the toadas).
