Maculelê

Maculelê in its origins was an armed martial art, but nowadays it is a form of dance that simulates a tribal fight using two sticks, called grimas (fencing), with which participants deliver and parry blows in the rhythm of the music. In a greater degree of difficulty and daring, you can dance with machetes instead of sticks, which gives a beautiful visual effect by the sparks that come out after each blow. This dance is closely associated with other Brazilian cultural manifestations such as Capoeira and Frevo.
