Electric Guitar

The electric guitar was the result of several small creations over the years. But it was on September 2, 1890, that US naval officer, George Breed, registered a patent for a design for an electric guitar. His invention was based on making the strings vibrate near a magnetic field, which was, let's say, the great-grandfather of the pickups we have today.
