ORITMO is a marketplace that distributes all the wealth
of sounds from Brazil to music creators
worldwide

WHY ORITMO?
First of all, we are a group of Brazilian music lovers. What other world musicography comprises the elegance of bossa nova and the explosion of maracatu? The sensuality of samba and the energy of frevo? The sophistication of chorinho and the tribalism of carioca funk? It's time to spill all this melodic and rhythmic richness to the four corners of the world through the most democratic of media, without intermediaries, without interference, bypassing the vices of the established music industry.
We act as the bridge for a new culture, where recreating, remixing and sampling are exercises capable of raising society's creative potential. It's time to dust off all those forgotten gemstones on hard drives and turn them into marketable items.

HOW DOES IT WORK FOR BRAZILIAN MUSICIANS?
By registering in ORITMO, musicians are able to upload files with pieces of music (beats, riffs, solos, grooves, samples) or entire songs (backgrounds or full tracks), categorize them, price them and make them available for downloads by anyone, be they a lover of Brazilian music or a professional who is going to use it as part of a new work. Each of these files will be offered in the author, rhythm, instrument, region of Brazil and file type stores. The musician can also prepare packages (packs) with more than one file of his own and define whether each file can be used in advertising or not. For each new transaction, the author keeps 60% of the gross revenue from the sale made.

HOW DOES IT WORK FOR BUYERS?
When buying a music file in ORITMO, the user receives, in addition to the sound, a license that guarantees its use in the established supports, legally and signed by the author. A Swedish DJ can create the new hit of the dance floors from the beat of the tambourine of a samba de coco created in the hinterland of Pernambuco. The soundtrack of an Indian film can be based on a choro mandolin wave. The options are endless.

WHAT FILES CAN I UPLOAD?
By submitting their sound to ORITMO, the artist accepts a term where they guarantee to be the author of the same. Our team reserves the right to refuse files of poor sound quality or artistic detachment from what we consider to be an acceptable standard. We also set maximum duration limits for each track. There are also price suggestions that should serve as a guide, but not as a requirement.
When a file is sent, our system creates a sample so that it can be partially heard on the web, prior to purchase. In order for the sample to be protected from illegal copying, the system prints a sound watermark over it. The artist doesn't need to worry about that. For more details read our terms and conditions.
