Bongo

In its modern form, it emerged at the end of the 19th century in the province of Oriente, in Cuba. It was an instrument widely used by the groups of Son and Changui, musical styles originating from the fusion of African music with Spanish music, which gave rise to the rhythm group known today as salsa.
